Registered Psychotherapist

I provide couples and family therapy for those experiencing challenges in their relationships and don’t know what to do next. Often times struggling to communicate, not feeling understood, and personal trauma can lead to trust issues, affairs and conflicts over parenting or financial issues.

In my work with couples and families, issues that affect relationships can manifest as feelings of sadness, loneliness, detachment, or confusion. These feelings can be hard on each of you as you try to navigate the busyness of life.

The most important part of therapy for couples and families is our work to build trust and safety so that each person present feels heard. It’s important for couples to have a space where they feel like they can explain their complex emotions without feeling judged as they navigate their unique circumstances.

I have over 6 years of experience providing care and support for those struggling mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Most recently, my experience includes working with individuals, couples and families where substance abuse plays a large role in the challenges being faced in the home. I primarily practice Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, while borrowing aspects of other models such as Emotional Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Solution Focused Therapy. This approach allows me to work with clients to explore the areas of life that matter to them using tools that they feel comfortable with.

I support individuals, couples and families with substance abuse, betrayal, infidelity, conflict and communication challenges and those with trauma.

I understand how hard it can be to find the right therapist as a couple that you are both happy with. When we get started, I meet with couples first for a session, then I connect with you individually. Once we start working together, our sessions become a place of safety and part of the trust-building process between each of you and me.

Therapy for couples and families can have a lasting effect on communication, foster growth in relationships, and build stronger connections. This can lead to more harmony and support within the home.

As a Registered Psychotherapist, my areas of focus include:
Couples Therapy | Support for Parents | Substance Abuse Issues for teens and Adults | Navigating Infidelity and Rebuilding Intimacy

If you’re ready to start, I always offer a 20-minute consult to determine whether we are a good fit. I’d love to help you or a member of your family get the help they need to live better.
