Areas Of Focus
Do you feel like you’re supposed to have it together, especially after years spent building a career, providing for the people who depend on you, and quietly carrying whatever came with that? Maybe it’s stress you can’t shake, tension at home, or patterns you learned a long time ago that are still shaping how you show up for the people you love.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with advanced training in clinical counselling. Before training as a counsellor, I spent years working in technical trades and industry, including supervising teams and taking on leadership roles, while building a career and a family alongside it. That background shapes how I understand what a lot of men are carrying: the pressure to hold it together, provide, and not ask for help until something breaks.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), tailored to what actually fits you rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
My particular areas of focus include men’s mental health, anxiety and depression, childhood trauma, and relationship concerns, including the kind of patterns that get passed down through a family without anyone meaning to pass them on. I also work with clients navigating spiritual abuse or questions about a faith background that shaped them, when that’s part of what’s going on for you.
